Have we stopped evolving?

Answers:
In a way, yes.. being that we are at the top of the food chain and don't have any struggle to survive, We have hardly changed in hundreds of thousands of years. We have grown taller though.
500 years ago the average man was 5' 3"
No.
Are you talking about YOU, YOUR COMMUNITY or YOUR COUNTRY?
I have dont know about you lot tho, lol.
Evolution is a SLOW process. It is so slow that we don't see or realize how we are evolving. Obvious signs of our evolution are changes in our height and weight and the fact that we have adapted to environments and environmental change.
there is no evolution. but other meaning of evolving is improving right. it depends. trust me there's no evolution. where is now the msising link? don't u believe that there is God. oka proof, why do all things are in order. ur eyes, heart , the sun the moon, how they work.
As a matter of fact NO!.
You might then ask why don't we find our hands sprouting an extra finger!
Well it may in the future.provided we have time.
The evolution procees spans over an indefinite time. It takes thousands of years to bring in fruitful results.
It doesn't take place in a jiffy!
Who knows! The present day man might turn out something ugly in the next 1000 yrs!
No, in fact theory says we are evolving faster than at any time in our species鈥?history.Evolution occurs due to many factors, but the primary factor is different reproductive success between different individuals. The larger the difference in the number of offspring left by the most and least successful organisms the higher the rate of evolutionary change. For most o the history of our species reproductive success was fairly narrow. Regardless of wealth, social position, race or anything else most people would see just two children survive. The difference between the least successful people ( 0 children) and the most successful people (probably no more than 4 living children) was tiny. And because of social expectations very few people had no children the difference for the 99% of the population was probably less than 2 child per couple.Today the difference is huge. Many couples are choosing to remain childless while many others are having 7 or more surviving healthy children. That means that the rate of evolutionary change is in theory 3-4 times higher than ever before in our history.%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; being that we are at the top of the food chain and
%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; don't have any struggle to survive..While I am glad you don鈥檛 need to struggle to survive I suggest you consider for a moment the 2/3 of humanity that do have to struggle to survive.%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;We have hardly changed in hundreds of thousands of
%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; years. We have changed beyond recognition in hundreds of thousands of years. Just 130, 00 years ago we were so different that we were a separate species. Don鈥檛 you think that is a fairly significant change?%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;We have grown taller though. No, we have actually become slightly shorter.%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;500 years ago the average man was 5' 3"That is NOT an evolutionary change. It is entirely due to environmental factors.
Individuals don't evolve; only populations do. And no, we haven't stopped evolving compeletely. Though we're pretty close because selective pressures on existence have been greatly reduced becuase of modern health care.
